In 2015, Preston relocated to Atlanta, where his career accelerated at the legendary Silent Sound Studios and later Triangle Sound Studios. There, he refined his craft under the mentorship of iconic producer Tricky Stewart, absorbing a philosophy rooted in musical intention, emotional clarity, and world-class execution.
Beyond the studio, Preston plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the industry. He currently serves as Chapter Governor of the Recording Academy’s Atlanta Chapter, contributing leadership at the highest level of music advocacy and education. He is also a part owner of Naturl Audio, where he helped launch the AL1 Limiter, bridging real-world studio experience with forward-thinking audio technology.
Education and access remain central to Preston’s mission. Through widely respected tutorials and breakdowns on YouTube, SonicScoop, and Puremix, he demystifies elite-level mixing for engineers worldwide. His mentorship and outreach—spanning colleges, institutions, and community initiatives—are driven by a singular belief: knowledge should be shared, and opportunity should be multiplied.
